The board of directors of CENDEP is made up of a founding member, former staff, consultants, and other people with whom CENDEP has interacted in the past and who have good knowledge of the organization.

Youndjie Koleoko Gabriel

Founding Member

Is holder of CAPI (Certificat d’Aptitude Professionnelle Industrielle). He worked with CICAM as a filter and maintenance mechanic from 1976-1977 and with ELF SEREPCA Cameroon as a platform and maintenance mechanic from 1978 to 1990 when he resigned to start farming. He has been serving as contact farmer for the Ministry of Agriculture. He is one of the founding members and also delegate (Director) of CENDEP.

Melaine Nsaikila

Expert Advisor


Melaine Nyuyfoni, Nsaikila is an economist and data scientist with a broad background in policy analysis, research, custom software engineering and development. His career began as a Volunteer Community Facilitator at CENDEP, where he played a key role in local community development efforts. Melaine furthered his expertise by earning a Master of Arts in Economics from Western Illinois University as a Fulbright Scholar.


Currently, Melaine serves as the Senior Assessment Officer for Sudan at the Swiss Think-Tank IMPACT Initiatives, where he leads the Site Management work stream. In this role, he spearheads research and the creation of information products to guide the humanitarian response to the crisis in Sudan. His professional journey reflects a strong commitment to evidence-informed decision-making, with a proven ability to address skill gaps within organizations and excel in program development and risk management. His diverse experience spans data quality and analytics, policy analysis, rapid assessments, and software engineering.


On the Board of CENDEP, Melaine provides strategic guidance and expertise. He enhances the organization’s credibility and effectiveness by offering specialized knowledge in various fields, informing strategic decisions, and contributing to program development and evaluation. Melaine leverages his professional networks to support fundraising efforts and provides objective perspectives to board discussions. His contributions also include identifying and mitigating risks, addressing skill gaps within the board, and advising on best practices in governance and compliance.

Dr. Nuesiri Emmanuel

Dr. Emmanuel Nuesiri holds a PhD. from the University of Oxford. He is presently a steering committee member of the IUCN Commission for Environmental, Economic and Social Policy (CEESP). He is an accomplished academic and researcher with world class publications on environmental governance and community conservation. His co-authored FAO report is now published in 9 different languages.

As Board Chair,  Dr. Nuesiri plays a crucial role in leading the CENDEP towards achieving its mission and objectives. He provides strategic direction and guidance to the Board and the organization, ensuring effective governance, oversight, implementation of strategic plans, and accountability. This includes facilitating Board meetings, discussions, and decision-making, while ensuring effective communication among Board members, staff, and stakeholders. This also includes providing guidance and support to the CEO/Executive Director. Dr. Nuesiri represents the NGO at public events, meetings, and with stakeholders; supports the NGO fundraising efforts and relationship with donors; and advice on regulatory compliance and conflict resolution procedures and processes. Dr. Nuesiri plays a vital role in ensuring CENDEP’s effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability.

Mbiydzenyuy Sylvie Tomnyuy

VICE CHAIR

Mbiydzenyuy Sylvie Tomnyuy, studied Agriculture and holds a BSc in Rural Development and Administration from the Department of Agriculture at the Bamenda university of Science and Technology.

She has had  10 years working experience in the field of Rural Development, and Humanitarian with international and local NGOs in promoting local Development especially Agriculture.

As vice chair , Mbiydzenyuy Sylvie Tomnyuy , amongst other duties supports the chairperson in  leading the board, often assuming the chairperson’s duties in his absence. She also provides counsel and advice to the Chairperson.

Shei William Kanjo

Secretary

Shei William Kanjo studied Agronomy and holds a Master of Science degree in Integrated Rural Development from the Faculty of Agronomy and Agricultural Sciences of the University of Dschang. He accumulates 29 uninterrupted years of professional experience in development work covering all the 10 regions of Cameroon. He has served in several field and management positions in public, semi-public and civil society organizations.

Shei currently serves in CENDEP’s Board as Secretary. Among others, he ensures that CENDEP’s governance, compliance, and communication processes run smoothly, allowing the board to focus on strategic decision-making and oversight. He compiles and distributes meeting agendas, supporting documents and minutes, and ensures effective communication within the organization and with external stakeholders.

Kemkia Christian Danirnyuy

Agricultural Development Officer

Kemkia Christian holds a Bsc in Geography and an Msc and a Phd in integrated rural development and agricultural extension. Kemkia have once been a team member of CENDEP, working as agricultural development expert and community development facilitator.  His expertise and knowledge of CENDEP contributes in the ensuring the strategic functioning of the organization and ensuring strong ties with the diverse stakeholders.

Kemkia’s background knowledge and expertise also help ensure that CENDEP remains accountable, transparent, and effective in achieving his mission.

Stella Asaba

TREASURER

Stella Asaha holds an Master’s Degree in Sustainable Development, Environment and Natural Resource Management from the Pan African Institute for Development – West Africa, Buea, Cameroon. She also holds a B.Sc. in Botany from the University of Calabar, Nigeria. She has over 20 years of work experience in forest and livelihoods development as well as socio-economic research. She is a co-founder and currently the Social Development Lead of Forests, Resources, People (FOREP), an NGO based in Limbe, Cameroon also doubling administratively as the Coordinator.

Stella oversees financial management and reporting, ensures compliance with financial regulations and presents financial reports to the Board of Directors of CENDEP.
